CHEATERS NEVER PROSPER
In an effort to stop the newest Modern Warfare 3 glitch being exploited, Infinity Ward has started handing out a six day ban to anyone caught using the “Damage” Glitch. For those unfamiliar with this particular exploit pretty much gamers have found a way to attach the shotgun-only Damage perk to non-shotgun weapons. The results being that only one or two shots from a rifle can take any bad ass mother fucker down at any distance.
While a six day ban may not seem like a stiff enough punishment, the public embarrassment that comes from the hilarious manner in which Infinity Ward has elected to reset their stats may be. Users over at mw3forum.com have discovered that everyone caught using this glitch will be reset to although the way back to level 1. Also the cheater will have all of their stats reset to zero (here’s the kicker) except losses and deaths. This means that if you had a win-loss ratio of 100-54 and a kill - death ratio of 2191/1187 your new win - loss ratio would be 0 wins and 54 losses and your new kill - death ratio would be 0 kills and 1187 deaths. Even if the glitchers try and play legitimately after the reset they will always be saddled with hilariously low W/L and K/D ratios going forward.
For those of you that aren’t cheating, enjoy the next 6 days of glitcher-reduced gameplay and make sure to point and laugh at anyone that comes back from the bans with a comically low 0.000000001 K/D ratio as a result of the reset
